In the spirit of the Oregon Medical Marijuana Coalition.
Oregon = Our State
Cannabis = Our Medicine
Pioneer = Someone who prepares the way.
Coalition = A temporary sometimes permanent looseknit alliance of like minded.
The reason we are forming this group is to provide a common ground for ALL the Pioneers currently moving forward in Oregon.
The political groups,the patient resource groups,the schools, colleges and workshops,the resource centers,the research groups,the collectives,the co ops,the individuals,the csa's,the dispensary style resource centers,the analytical labs,the lawyers,the doctors,any actually supportive and helpful to the cause law enforcement or government officials and pretty much anyone or anything else that fits the category "Cannabis Pioneer".
In these times we need to create stronger community so that all the incredible information and resources we have as a movement are "EASILY" available to us as individual entities. We also need to create strong support ASA style within the state for our own safety and sanity.
Just because you are a member of The Oregon Cannabis Pioneer Coalition doesn't mean you agree or condone with how another member does what they do. It does mean that you may if you choose support them in time of need or fun. Basically OCPC provides common ground to share information in a NON partisan space. All equal all valid. The Oregon Cannabis Pioneer Coalition is dedicated to two men who shaped my life and always bugged me to be more proactive . Ben Masel and Jack Herer. I have been Bens brother since the 70's he was more of a brother than a friend. Tell you what he thought without sugar coating it.The man was the best example of Free Speech and Real community Spirit I have ever met. He will be missed. Jack I met in a Grateful Dead parking lot in Anaheim when they were playing with Bob Dylan. He was surrounded by people in the back of this big empty bus and they all just started laughing when I came on. I was selling Batik T shirts I had made. A week later Jack approached me at the Laguna Seca Grateful Dead showz and said "hey you wholesale those"? This started a longtime partnership of him telling me places to send/sell shirts to and him getting a commission for the deal. Jack could be a sharp operator. Another one of kind gentelman that always had time to smoke a bowl with you and let you know what was up. Thanks boyz for giving me a clue. Onward Through The Fog)*
